One of my
favs is Dao Hsiao Mien-a fresh sliced noodle into tomato beef broth with
pieces of beef tendon. Singaporean cuisine is nice. It offers a blend of
Chinese(several types), Malay and Indian.

Re: Light, shadow and color

Maybe we can trade. I met David Byrne in Tucson after
a Talking Heads show and chatted with him a little. No not in IM, face to
face-old skool. :-) Will check for that "box" thingie you mention. Hope it's
good,can't imagine it being bad.

Re: Hotel Rwanda

it was an excellent film!

Re: David Byrne & Brian Eno-New Musical release

Mark, you're such an early adopter, you went to download before they were ready. I'm not at all surprised. :-)

I followed the link, and there is now an email field, as well as a country and postal code field.

I don't think Eno and Byrne need to spend lots on publicity. They just need some connectors such as yourself to spread the word among the digerati, and maybe some phone calls from their agents to the right entertainment scene journos to inform the mainstream. As with the NIN CC releases, a little bit of the right publicity carries a long way.

Re: Chiilin @Eslite

Thanks Fili. Don't know much about Marcia-just liked her
sound. I know Irma Thomas and of Angela Strehli. Thanks for stopping by.

Re: 3 from the Heart…

Hi there,

My first visit to this site..found my way here via Taiwan Photographers...which I found via 'the view from taiwan" blog.

Marcia Ball? One of my favorites! Haven't heard that particular CD, though, but I know I will like it. Ever seen her work a crowd? I've seen her do it in quite a few bars and beer joints around Texas. Last time was at Gruene Hall, I believe, which is really the perfect venue for that kind of music-- a big open-air country dance hall. Watching her pound the piano is something. "Sing It!" with Tracy Nelson and Irma Thomas (3-4 years ago?) is a great CD with some superb R&B instrumentation. Ever heard Angela Strehli? Another favorite...

--Scott
Tainan

some of my photos:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/21506490@N00/

Re: NIN new free download album

im so confused!! im just kidding, this happy camper one is cool!!

Re: Rice Waves

Wow-Ashish what a cool association. yeah teh escapist joy of watching
something simple, uncomplicated. I used to live up on 17th floor(top) in a building
facing out over acres of rice fields. That was quite a beautiful experience
when all of that was moving.
